At the beginning of the semester, I was a little afraid to use quotations because I wasn’t confident in using them. In my first paper, I used the bare minimum amount of quotations for the essay, I was sure how to integrate them into my essay. But during the time between the first and second papers, I developed a better understanding of how to use quotations.
In my second paper, I had much more confidence in using quotations and had fun doing so. In this paper, I didn’t just use one quotation per paragraph, I focused more on how quotations can help develop my paper and using more than one can be super helpful. I also enjoyed incorporating the quotation from my narrative project and had strong opinions on this so it was easier to include quotations.
The quotation that I would like to point out is the one from my narrative project. I interviewed my mother and there were so many quotes I could’ve used but I believe this one fits the best in my paper. I used the quote “life is way too short to be negative.” It is a short, simple quote, but has a lot of meaning. It fit perfectly with what I was writing about at that moment and also helped me develop more on the part of my interview.
