I grew up in South Portland, Maine and I am now attending the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. I have always loved the view of the ocean and how beautiful Maine is, thus I chose University of New England as my college. I am majoring in dental hygiene and cannot wait for the day I become a dental hygienist at a small dentist near my home town.
Throughout my life I always knew I wanted to go into the medical field, but I’m a little too squeamish to be a nurse or doctor. I wanted to go into the medical field because I have always wanted to help people become healthier and happier, and with dental hygiene I can still do that. If you can’t tell, I am so excited about my chosen major!
Growing up I didn’t play many sports, I danced for eight years and played basketball and soccer off and on. I had a lot of free time when I was younger which lead me to playing outside for hours and hours with my neighbors, no matter the weather. I also found out I loved to read and write. In elementary school I was a book worm and I also loved to write fictional stories. Even though I don’t read and write as much as I should now, I still do love it.
Another fact about me is that I love to travel. I always went on road trips to visit family or just go on vacation when I was younger. I haven’t been able to travel to many of my dream places but when I graduate college and before I start a family I want to travel to many places. I am still a kid at heart so my favorite place that I have gone is Disney World. No matter how many times I go, I never will get sick of it. My dream place to explore is Greece, and hopefully I will make it there one day.
